Mother Word Cloud

Several years ago, I made a list of every word I associated with mothers and motherhood. I then made a 'word cloud' out of the words, added a heart and a sprinkling of color, and used it to make Mother's Day prints for my wife and mom. They loved their prints so much, I decided to create a limited edition version for this special collection.

I love this quote by Erich Fromm, not only because it incorporates two of my favorite concepts (love and peace), but because it so accurately describes the unconditional love a mother has for her children. "It need not be acquired, it need not be deserved." Simple, beautiful, and so very true.
